- The ability to control any and all Duel Monster spirits.
- He can physically summon Duel Spirits from the Spirit Plane to his plane.
- The incarnation of Gentle Darkness, and as such he wields and controls the powers of righteous darkness.
- Immunity to the Light of Destruction’s influence and can alter destiny.
- Exert shock waves and pressure on those around him, as well as generate dark wind which he used mostly on opening doors.
- He has such an uncanny draw that he draws whatever card he wants when he wants it.
- His influence has caused others like Manjoume and Hayato to awaken their abilities to see spirits.
- He’s such an incredible strategist, and combined with his supernatural drawing ability he’s one of the strongest duelists in the universe.
- And let’s not forget his glowy evil gold eyes which scares the hell out of everyone else. Also Yubel's glowy eyes.
- Telepathy: empathy, precognition, and a mental shield that protects him from things like hypnosis.
- Superhuman-like stamina and energy (Super jump!)
